Shriners or Shrine Masons have the honor of belonging to a group of men who enjoy having “fun with a serious purpose”. The Shrine offers a wide variety of fun events, units that share common interests, and most importantly the opportunity to directly help children through the “World’s Greatest Philanthropy” Shriners Hospitals for Children. Everything that a Shrine Mason does is based on the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth.
Being a leading fraternal organization for men of good character.
Providing attractive, quality programs and services for its members, their families and their friends in a spirit of fun, fellowship and social camaraderie.
Fostering self-improvement through leadership, education, the perpetuation of moral values and community involvement.

Become a Shrine Mason! You will never regret it!
When you become a Shrine Mason, you become part of a brotherhood of men committed to family, engaged in ongoing personal growth, and providing care for children and families in need. While our backgrounds and interests may be diverse, what binds us together are shared values and a desire to have fun, do good and build bonds that last a lifetime.
Shrine Masons believe in giving back
In 1922, the Shrine Masons dedicated themselves to providing expert medical care for children without financial obligation to patients or their families.
Today, that philanthropic effort supports 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children across North America that provide specialized medical care for children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.
Many Shriners Hospitals for Children are also premier medical research centers and are affiliated with top academic medical institutions in North America.
You may be surprised to know that Shrine Masons count among their ranks presidents, senators, local business leaders, professional golfers, country music stars, astronauts and actors. But, we think it’s just as important to be a leader in your personal life, to be a role model, to be a sounding board, and to simply be a friend.
As a Shrine Mason, you will become part of a powerful network of mentors who can help you grow as a man, a father and a husband. You will develop relationships that benefit your business and help you reach your career goals. And you will find that you’ve become a mentor yourself, passing the lessons of leadership along to the next generation.
In many cases, being a Shrine Mason is a family tradition. Although Shriners International is a brotherhood, it has a family component. Many of the fraternity’s activities are designed to involve family members, promoting our shared values and helping develop the next generation of community and business leaders.
A variety of affiliated groups for both women and children, emphasizing personal growth, fun and friendship participate with Shrine Masons.
Throughout Shrine Mason history we have sought out men of integrity, character and strength.
We bring into the organization men who share our values and will help enhance the mission of Shriners International.
You will be surrounded by a network of like-minded men of great virtue. You will thrive and aspire to do great things.
Becoming a Shrine Mason is easier than you think. The rewards will be far more than you expect.
The Shriners Fraternity Mission Statement
The Mission of the Shriners is to be:
The Premiere Fraternal Organization for men of good character
Committed to providing attractive, quality programs and services for its members, their families and friends in a spirit of fun, fellowship and social camaraderie
Fostering self-improvement through leadership, education, the perpetuation of moral values and community involvement.
Serving mankind through the resources of its great philanthropy, the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Shriners believe in God and that He created man to serve His purposes, among which is service to others in His name.
We believe that care for the less fortunate, especially children who suffer from burns and crippling diseases, is our institutional calling.
We are patriots, each willing to serve his country with fidelity and courage. We cherish independence under law and freedom with responsibility.
We honor family. We respect our parents, wives and children. We should instill in our children the tenets of this creed, and the heritage from which it emanates.
As individuals we pledge ourselves to integrity, virtue and nobility of character. Our intentions will be honorable, our relations will be trustworthy and our spirits forgiving of each other.
As brothers we offer each other fraternal affection and respect. Together we will support each other in adherence to this creed, so that we and our communities will be the better because of our fraternity and its principles.
As Shriners we look beyond ourselves to serve the needs of others, especially children who cannot help themselves. We believe Shriners Hospitals for Children to be the world’s greatest philanthropy, and we covenant with each other to support its “temples of mercy” with spirit, time, talent and means.
